Japanese Government Passes Feed-in Tarriff

Following Japan's earthquake and tsunami the country has made a commitment to be generating 20% of its electricity from renewable sources by the 2020's. As part of this initiative the government has introduced a feed-in tariff offering around 20 yen (16p) for all technologies except solar. Rates for solar are currently 42 yen (34p) for every kilowatt generated by businesses and 40 yen ( 32p) for households. You can read the full story here.
