India's largest PV plant at 40 MW

The 5 MWp Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant which has been commissioned at Rawara village in Phalodi taluka of Rajasthan under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission.

On April 9th, 2012, L&T Construction (Mumbai, India), commissioned a 40 megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant located at Dhursar Village, Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan, India.

The PV plant, which comprises more than 500,000 high output generating thin film technology based solar PV modules and thirteen 3.5 MVA power transformers, is spread across 350 acres. The PV array, owned by Reliance Power Ltd.

The solar PV power plant will supply more than 70 million units of clean and green energy to 75,000 households.
