Jamie Baldwin and I were pleased to accept the invitation to join micro power at the prestigious Portcullis House, Westminster on Monday evening to listen to Greg Barker and Dave Sowden. The speeches are available here to read but in short if Greg's words are to be believed and he is able to continue to action then we can feel confident that he at least wishes to see the renewable industry grow and prosper in coming years.
The venue provided the perfect setting for delegates to network with key officials in attendance and many others from within the industry. Throughout the course of the night a few crucial policy discussion points were raised and brought to the attention of Greg Barker, Minister of State for Energy and Climate Change as well as a number of DECC's Civil Servants.
Dave Sowden, Chief Executive of the Micropower Council discussed a number of these issues in his keynote speech. The full speech can be accessed by clicking here.
Greg Barker delivered a keynote speech at the reception which can be accessed by clicking here.
