Gareth Williams, Managing Director of Caplor Energy, has been
elected onto the Board of Directors of Sustainability West Midlands – one of
the country’s leading not for profit advisory companies for the low carbon
economy. Based in Birmingham, SWM is an independent,
not-for-profit organisation which offers advice and support on sustainability
for the business, public and voluntary sectors. A major part of their work is
to help the West Midlands prepare for the impact of climate change in the
coming years, something which Mr Williams has been passionate about and
promoting for a number of years.
His founding of Caplor Energy was a natural progression from
the sustainability measures introduced at the farm in Fownhope near Hereford.
The business now is one of the leading renewable energy installers in the
region and features as one of the top ten national installers with You Gen –one
of the UK’s leading renewable energy sites for homes and business.
‘’I am extremely proud to be given the opportunity to sit on
the board of SWM. At Caplor Energy we believe
it is vital to continually support and push the climate and environmental
agenda and this role will certainly help in fulfilling this objective in
addition to narrowing the gap between our rural county and the regional
cities.’’
